Odin headed into the round pen with Butch today. A little snorty, a little nervous, but fully present, he took it all in with bright eyes and an attentive ear. As Butch said, Odin’s going to have some choices to make, so Butch gave him some opportunities…a little pressure and lots of space to think about things. As the moments pass, the worry softens just a bit. A lick and a chew appear, his neck loosens just a little bit after a shake rolls through—proof that he’s thinking, trying, and beginning to settle.
Then come the tarps. Odin’s verdict is quick and confident: not impressed. He steps up after just a few moments like a near expert, calm enough, his head even drops with curiosity, making it clear that the tarps aren’t the challenge here—humans are.
Job done, Odin heads back to the barn with ease and grace to report to Titan and Rocky, proud of his work and more than happy to accept a treat or two from Susan, standing quietly, content in who he is becoming. 🤍
